Dreams in the Mojave
My good friend told me about a dream she had recently. It all started with her lying on her back in an open field. Above her, a crow or raven was circling over her. She didn’t move, she just watched it.
When the bird landed next to her, she realized its size was the same as a human. It began pecking her eyes out, and laughing at her. She woke up crying..unsure of the meaning, and horrified at the warning.
I see this very clearly to be a manifestation of choosing to be a NPC in life, witnessing atrocities done to your spirit without any care, and I feel that sometimes it could seem safer to accept harm instead of resisting or walking away. Even when there are clear signs for you to turn around, forge a new path, or sit with the warning to understand it yet not allowing it to harm you (which is a powerful experience that not many are prepared for even when they undertake this task).
Subconsciously you may feel this warning heeding to you some sort of action. The unification of this action with emotional clarity is very important. Hence the prompt using this information to formulate awareness of your current experiences. These warnings could be physical as well. I have a friend dealing with ailments at this time, I’ve been going through something I call ‘tech sickness’ to describe the hollow ache I am experiencing mixed with the desire to commune with the trees in my local area.
The prompt for this week revolves around this idea that warnings or decisions are presented to us through subconscious and physical manifestations. This prompt is meant for exploring synchronicities of dreams, physical manifestations of messages such as numerical synchronicities, and so forth. If you don’t experience any of these, the documentation of not experiencing any warnings could prompt a more lucid awareness of your present state of being to understand if you are heading on the right path of creative/personal/spiritual development.
Keep in mind that development is not linear, it is a sideways evolution that involves many ‘side quests’ that aid to the spiritual connections you make with yourself on your journey through life. I invite you to document anything that comes to mind in the form of poetry or journal entry of how this applies to you at this time.
